Hi! Welcome to this week’s episode here on Work Your Biz Like A Boss, the place for all things biz and boss. This week I’m doing something a little different because I’m going to dive into some spiritual health and some apps I use all of the time.

Many of you might not know but I am also a minister. Business is my first love and ministry is my side hustle. I am of the Christian faith and take my relationship with Father seriously. He is my greatest joy. I regularly use four apps to enhance my walk with God. And I wanted to share those with you, today.

four apps

  • YouVersion Bible. I use this all of the time. I love comparing different translations. The Passion Translation is my favorite for enjoying God’s presence and the English Standard Version for my in-depth study. Actually, I use The Passion a lot for study, too. But there’s something about it that really imparts the love of God to me.

  • PrayerMate. This is a handy little app. It helps you organize your prayers, create a habit of prayer, and you can even create prayer groups. You can put your own prayers in there and use some of their prayers and prayer topics.

  • Filament. This is the latest app I have found that is amazing! Filament is an app by Tyndale that works with their Filament Bibles. You simple open to the passage you’re reading, scan the page number and the app brings up study notes, reflection articles, and other resources like maps, videos, pictures, and more.

  • Abide. I love this Bible Meditation app. There’s guided stories and narrations for sleep and different topics for finances, anxiety, hope, and more.

bonus app

The Chosen App puts the series, “The Chosen,” right on your phone. Season 1 is complete and Season 2 has started. Their website says, “See Jesus through the eyes of those who knew Him.” I highly recommend it.

That’s it. If you have some apps you’d like to share, please go to my Instagram @sherriannewilson and leave a comment in the post for this episode or DM me.
