My 2 Warmer Weather Makeup Must-Haves
Warmer weather is here! Well, until Sunday when the low will be 24 degrees! I refuse to even think about that right now! All I can say is that Mother Nature better get her act together!
Each year I change my skin regimen and makeup for the warmer months to control oil, create a fresher look, and take advantage of my sun-kissed face!
Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation
In my blog post, “My 3 Tarte Must-Haves,” I wrote this about Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation, “I will never use another “liquid” foundation ever.” And I have not changed my mind. But in the summer, a liquid foundation just doesn’t work as well for my skin because my oily T-Zone goes into overdrive.
Usually in April or May, I switch to Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation (see me apply it in my IGTV @sherriannewilson). I love this just as much as their liquid foundation, and I’ve tried all of the “mineral” foundations out there. This is absolutely the best coverage of any I’ve used. It’s great for a nice clean look. I usually go a shade darker to take into account darker skin tone in the warmer months.
Tip: Their foundations do tend to be darker than others so I usually go a shade lighter.
Quench Lip Rescue
Ok, so I don’t make enough money right now for these! Not because they’re expensive but because I use them so much throughout the day, they’re gone in two weeks! I love these more than anything else from Tarte!
These are vegan lip balms that feel like you’re literally putting “moisture” on your lips! They feel so good! The colors are vibrant (but not too much just a kiss of color) and so pretty! I’ve tried tinted lip balms before, and you could hardly see any color at all or they dried out my lips. Not these! They are perfect for a light summer look while keeping your lips hydrated durring warm weather activities that can tend to dry your lips out.
In Summary
You. Can’t. Go. Wrong. If you’re looking for vegan, chemical free cosmetics that actually work, Tarte is the place to go!
