5 Podcasts for Entrepreneurs

Podcasts are awesome! Quality hands-free education and entertainment at no cost! It’s an entrepreneur’s dream! I love podcasts. My favorites are business and true crime podcasts. True crime is an addiction, so I literally have to schedule my business podcasts or I’ll binge listen to true crime!

In case you have that issue, here’s how I do it. I listen to true crime in the car for one reason—I can’t take notes while driving making true crime perfect. I then listen to business podcasts at the gym because during my rest periods, I can take notes in my notes app. I know the beauty of podcasts is the ability to multitask—listen and workout or listen and clean or listen and cook. But some are so full of valuable info that you’ll want to take some notes like for this first podcast.

Art of Paid Traffic with Rick Mulready

This podcast is ALL about using Facebook and Instagram ads for your business. He recently renamed it, “The Art of Online Business,” but his podcast graphic is the same. Rick is super smart but able to break down complex concepts into simple and actionable bite-size pieces. He sounds like the kind of guy that you could sit down and chat about business over coffee any time. Trustworthy is the word that comes to my mind.

The Gary Vee Experience

If you’ve not heard of Gary Vaynerchuk, you’ve been living on Mars. He is addicting, and how he approaches podcasts is fascinating and outside-of-the-box. I’m addicted to his four-hour long podcasts where he’s literally recorded going about his business day. I mean, who has time for four-hour long anything? But you can literally learn by osmosis. He not only gives great marketing and biz advice, he also exposes ego and lack of emotional intelligence in you in ways you don’t even recognize until it hits you. He’s helped me overcome ego and fear of failure more than anyone else…ever.

Online Marketing Made Easy with Amy Porterfield

Amy is another influencer that you’d have to live on another planet to not know about. She’s literally the “girl next door.” You immediately trust her. You can feel that her one goal is to make online marketing easier for you. I’ve taken all of her courses, too. She provides practical step-by-step education as well as interviews top entrepreneurs that impart strategy and technical skills. This is another podcast where you need to be able to take notes.

Goal Digger Podcast with Jenna Kutcher

Jenna is brilliant, genius! What I like about her is how discerning she is on what makes you successful. She also expertly navigates women issues, body image issues, and business in a way that I don’t think many could pull off. Seriously, she is a branding and marketing expert. She also exhibits a stunning vulnerability. I’d never have the guts to talk about some of the things she does. But don’t underestimate her. She’s a business woman to her core and a marketing machine! Her podcast is a combination of her educating and her interviewing others.

Spectacular Failures

This podcast is so cool! I accidentally came across it and was addicted immediately. In an unbiased and fun way, this podcast looks at theme parks, major corporations, funeral homes, non-profits and more that failed in HUGE ways. The beauty of this podcast is every one of them is a teachable moment meaning you see what NOT to do while also learning what to do. Some recovered and became bigger in business after their spectacular failures. Others disappeared. The way the story is told, you don’t need to take notes. You’ll remember!
